Here are 2 frames of my noisy video:

As I can't get any good result with denoising the picture, I choose to
use the highest bitrate possible...
The camcorder is an old Hi8 model. Now,
Steven,
I just used mplex on a video encoded at 9000kbps, and guess what... no
error. You were right! =)
I'll now try different bitrate value in order to find the highest usable
one.
Thank you very much!
Nicolas.

hmm,...
you could (do you use the CVS version of the denoiser

I have taken frame.jpg scaled it (cubic) to 356x576 and afterwards up
again to 720x576. There was no loss in horizont
Just in case someone might ask/wonder... I did not try to explain, why
we have (601) 720x576 or 720x480 pixels per frame (which mainly is
related to 2,25 MHz and some factor of six...) .. I just wanted to
derive the resolution a HI8-camcorder can have.

Hurrah!

Wow - that's amazing (but it has been known to happen once in a
while)

Hello everybody,
The Cinelerra version I use is the "Community Version".
There's a problem with field order with the version I use, and that's
ONLY in batch rendering mode. The field order information of the project
wasn't use correctly when rendering in batch mode. I don't export as
MPEG2 from C

Ok - so it's not going thru an analog conversion and does not have
analog noise to worry about.

This is all I wanted, a magic number (560). I've been using bitrate calculator

OK, so here comes what I would try with this material:
