Yesterday, while rock climbing, my iPhone 5, in my pocket, got put into
recovery mode. I discovered it when we got home, and went through the steps
and successfully restored it from the latest Icloud backup. Got all my apps
back, Voiceover the way I wanted, home screen set up in the folder str

is no indication of any progress. Its software was up to date (IOS7.1.1) when
it went into recovery mode. My Mac is an older (2008) MBP15 running Mountain

A couple of weeks ago, I requested help diagnosing what was wrong with my

Yesterday, some counseled me that I could lock my iPad 2's rotation to
portrayed mode from the Control Center. I've looked in Control Center, and see
nothing relevant to it. Sorry to be a moron, but could someone clarify where

If this hasn't already been suggested, often you can just hit the two letter
abbreviation for the state (FL, for Florida, for example) and then VO Space to
collapse the pop-up menu, and when you cursor back over it, the state will be

I have an issue with documents not opening at all when I press command O, and
my TextEdit VO shortcut key is not working. Oddly, when I manually open
Textedit from the apps folder, my document is there. Also, my Macbook Pro15

If someone sends you an E-mail, and within that E-mail is a tracking number for
a Fedex or USPS or UPS delivery, VO says, "Shipment number detected." But, when
you VO-M context menu, the "track item," option just seems to disappear without

I'm running Mountain Lion 10.8.2, I have a MBP15 that's about 4 years old with
4G of RAM. What I did to get it started was go to the Applications folder,

Skype's layout is a wonderful example of why it's helpful to be able to
visualize the screen and where things are on it. Vo is making lots of sounds
to tell you "this table is below the screen in relation to the tool bar, but
this table is right next to it, separated by a vertical bar,, and res
BEX *DOES* exist on the Mac; it's called TextEdit, and it can do WAY more than
Bex ever could. THough, I did go to Dartmouth with an Apple 2C as my main
computer, and wrote all my papers with BEX. I also had sorta a crush on Jessie
Casum from Raised Dot computing.

I had ProWords and used it and Proterm, when I needed a nice simple WYSIWYG
processor for a quick paper. ProTerm was how I got addicted to chatting and
the "internet," such as it was at the time.

My first Mac was an old Mac running, I think, system 4 or 5; it had 1 meg of
internal RAM and a 20 meg hard drive in it. It used OutSpoken, the screen
reader which I found worked amazingly well, and I wrote my first novella-length
work on it. Then I think I sold it for some reason which eludes
I'm watching House right now. … There's no description, but I really don't
care. *grin* But, here's the question: Is there a schedule of programs for
each channels? Someone mentioned Trek reruns. I'd tune in for that if I was
real bored or something…
