Charter has an app for iPhone (haven't tested it on my iPad 2, and my iPHone 5 chewed the humous some months ago [*bitter tears*=), which seemed like it was starting to incorporate that functionality, although its "Change your cable box to the requested channel," never worked for me, and the app would only let you stream whatever was being offered at the moment, not the entire selection of cable channels you had subscribed to. I'd like to see those features upgraded, as well as a navigable TV guide, and if it's not something they can incorporate in the cable box you get from the company, then I think an app for desktop as well as mobile devices is called for.
Personally, I think if countries such as the UK start mandating that manufacturers provide talking cable guides, etc., it will go a long way toward encouraging the US to do the same, which is very much in line with the ADA's mandate for equality. * Mark BurningHawk Baxter * AIM, Skype and Twitter: BurningHawk1969 * MSN: burninghawk1...@hotmail.com * My home page: * http://MarkBurningHawk.net/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
