My favorite action game for the Mac is Audio Quake. I do not know if it is still in development, but the final version was pretty awesome. It may take some work to set it up, and I don't have the active links to send you to, but Cara Quinn, one of our list moderators, can give you more information about it I'm sure. It's the original first-person shooter game with lots of 3D sound clues worked into let you navigate and aim and such.
