I have no problem sending messages from iMessages in 8.0.2, and am running it on an iPad 2 32G. My problem is that I cannot seem to prevent VoiceOver from announcing every character I type, not just the words, as I have it set in settings/accessibility/VoiceOver/keyboards/software ... VO is speaking each character after I touch-type it, as well as the word when I'm done typing it.
