Perhaps it's because I haven't disabled preview pane. I am able to open and
close messages with ctl-mouse-click, much as one would with VO-j. It's the
only reason I can think of, as I didn't even realize I've been viewing preview

utilities under compose. Don't know why that would matter, but it's something

Hi Joshua:
Your filters would have you send messages to a label. That label should
automaticly show up in your Applemail as a mailbox. However, I've never gotten
a google filter to work properly. I sure hope you have better luck than I have
had.

I just had a llok at VO utilities. Under sound, there are two possibilities:
Mute sound, and positional audio. You might check if either of those have

Sometimes, a link simply won't work in a message. When this occurs, best to
employ the data detector. Position your cursor at the start of the link, press
vo-shift-m. This brings up a context menu which includes open link and several
options. HTH
