Hi Simon: The Mac store does not an Apple store make.:) Differing requirements, different employees. It would be like going to a hearing aid dealer who doesn't do audiology testing but just sells hearing aids.
Probably redundant for me to say this, but you might get on Apple.com and try the Apple store locator.
