Hi John: I initially had to go to disk utility and "mount" to get the mbp to recognize the stream. Once I did that, they seemed to copperate pretty well together. I was able to copy content on an alternative card at the apple store. So, it must be something with perhaps the 16 vs 32 thing, or perhaps the brand of card.
