Hi all,
You know how you can create a script with the say command using any or many
voices? Is there a way to save that script as an audio result?
I've found via Google where I can save it as an audio file for one voice, but I
cannot find a solution for virtually creating a speech conversation
Why not just speak, save, speak, save, and so on until you have all the files?
If you tell hte script to, say, number them, you can then import them all into
something like Audacity and align them end to end to form a conversation.
That's the best I can come up with for now.

How do you delete the old vocalizer voices? Do you just uncheck them or what?
I assume, of course, that you have to do this after the update?

Hi
A clean install is OSX with nothing. Only Maverick for example. All the
settings have to be done again. Like VO settings. Then you probably can do a
restore from backup of different apps. Not sure if it works on a clean install.
Music, photos, documents should not be a problem to

Since it’s not on every site I go to that I can tell now I can live with it,
but would still be nice if I can turn that off.

Mike,
Normally, I follow the same practice. However, this time, I just went for it
in the first hour. And, while it is early-days still, I’m not having any
problems. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this continues.

That's a relief. Someone in a different thread said that clicking text that the
web author intended to be clickable now works, so it is likely that VO is just
picking up more than it used to.

Jonathan,
I’m not experiencing the problem, a you described, with VO-J. I, still, press
it & away we go…reading the email. So, it must be an individual thing?

Keith,
There’s always Eloquent, formerly Mac Sword. But, be aware, I just tried to
launch it under the new OSX, Mavericks, & it didn’t launch properly. But,
they’ll probably have a new version, that is compatible, soon.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can press enter on a message to open it
and, 99% of the time, VO will start reading it. The other advantage is that, if
you get rid of the preview pane, you are not seeing messages marked as "read"
just because you arrowed over them. I realize it is differen
Last thing for tonight hopefully.
Someone mentioned about new voices and I thought I remembered where to go to
get the mac to install other voices. Could someone please direct me again. I’ll
make suer to save it in case I forget again in the future.

Hi all,
Someone reported on Twitter that they can't review the screen in Terminal under
Maverix. Can someone try that and confirm or refute the claim? I'm doing my
first-ever Time Machine backup and it's taking forever, so I can't install
until tomorrow sometime at the earliest. thanks.

I don’t like to hear read or unread status, because it just slows things down.
Similarly, opening the message with Return speaks a whole bunch of window title
information that slows me down too. This is why I prefer VO+J. It’s the
quickest way to get right at the text, when it works.

Fair enough, everyone uses apps in different ways. I just wanted to make people
aware of the alternative.
