It depends a lot on what you want to do. Notes is mostly just for short notes.
It’s syncs with your i-devices, so is great for keeping track of things like
books people mention, grocery lists, etc.
Pages is a full-blown word-processor much like Word. It will give you all the

Can you get the style from the ribbon? We were talking last week about pages
and it was mentioned that putting a hotspot on the style area could have pages
speak the style as it gets updated. I would expect that the same could be done
in Word, though I don't have my system around to test my theo

Word 2016 for Mac does not.

and was able to use it, although I was surprised to find that there were
separate areas for header, body and footer. I assumed that it would just

Markdown? It lets you basically create basic html but in text format. You then
render the text and receive an html page. Again, it may not work at all, but it
might, I thought I'd mention it.
