Hello Ed, I'd forgotten about that oddity. You just do VO-Space to open these menus. Pages is full of anomalies. I hope they bring out a new version of iWork that behaves better. It's about time they did.
If you're the kind of person who likes to use standard Mac keyboard short cuts, don't use Ctrl-F2 to go to the Apple menu in Pages as it interprets this as just F2. Luckily, VO-m works fine.
