in lyx-1.1.5fix2 I used to have the american keymap as first choice and
the german one as second. If I try to setup up ditto via the new
preferences popup -which by the way collides a bit with our lyxrc files-
the american.kmap messes my keyboard up. Some examples:

While I'm on it, another that seems like a bug in LyX. I'm writing
documentation. I open LyX help documentation (read-only) from the help
menu. I want to try out what I just read from it.
When I select File/new I get the following message:
"LyX Internal Error. Could not test if directory is write
I just managed to crash LyX by clicking on the first line of a multiline
equation and selecting "Insert Label" from menu. The label popup never
appeared.
I didn't manage to crash it another time, so I guess this bug report is
