The cloth bolts I have looked at at the fabric shops have nylon and polyster
on them but no Dacron. The bolts I have looked at have very tight, fine weave
and are very light.

I read a report many years ago about a captured Jap Zero that the, (at that
time), Army Air Force was test flying. They reported that with the best finish
they could put on the aircraft, it lost about 20 knots airspeed from what it
was when first tested with the original Jap finish.

On 1/8" plywood, this gave me about a 1-1/2" scarf and with a 2" X

I have boiled it, beat it with a hammer, cut it into 1" wide strips and bent
it to breaking point and I have not seen any difference between it and
"Aircraft Grade " sitka spruce and it's about $14 for a 60" x 60" X 1/8"
sheets so I'll run the same test on each of them as well as on the first one I
didn't test.

I saw that the blower bearing was pressed in but in the "blow up" it looked
like the fan was attached to the bearing after the bearing was pressed in.

The problem with sanding is that the wood dust gets into the grain and the
glue sticks to the dust more so than the hard wood. This is more important on
end grain gluing than on a flat spar length.

Apology accepted on my part. I believe someone said a while back that we
shouldn't drop someone from the list because of their views. I have learned a
lot from Dana and although I am building a KR, I am also watching the "Fly
Baby" and "Piet" list along with looking in on a few others
opy at the local Dollar Store for $15. it is all plastic but
for an indoor paint booth it would be just fine. I hadn't thought of using it
for that but thanks to Dana, I now have a great paint booth. Just add an extra
2" x 2" frame to one side to make it big enough for the
fault with
them. I get my PVC from construction sites and get many sizes. To control side
slip, I screw a block of wood onto the workbench and butt the two pieces
against it and then put another block at the other end. I think I posted this
clamp on the net over a year ago.
