Please know that it's no one is forcing anyone to copy something over to
MicrosoftGithub, but it doesn't take much more energy to copy paste info, and
send a link to someone, rather than telling them they should use MSGithub. I
like to think we are more interested in the bug being fixed rather t
Hi folks, when a reporter uses email I believe more devs in the wide world need
to be prepared to communicate over it.
Maybe instead of saying "you should report this [at Microsoft Github]". Say
"I've copied this to [Microsoft Github]".
I fully understand "collateral freedom", but I personally
This is great. I'm relatively new Darktable but felt the need to refine the
copy. Reducing written word down to its core parts does take time.
There's a saying, "Sorry I didn't have time to write less." :)

Thankyou Kofa for pointing me to further instructions and information. The
Culling mode has some nice functions. I wish they were more intuitive but more
on that in future. Also in future I might be able to help write clearer, more
succinct instructions for darktable.

I also agree with you, as an english native speaker :)

Thanks Matt,
When I switch between two images I always get a flash going backwards. If the
last image I was on was the image ahead then when I tap forward there is no
flash and the transition is smooth.
In the lighttable the thumbnails seem to load immediately at the correct size,

Thanks Matthew, Chris and others,
I've dedicated more time to solving this.
"Snapshots" (or what I would call the "Compare" section where a person can
"Take snapshots") looks useful. I regret that it doesn't suit the use-case
where a person simply needs to go through the photos in a slideshow-l
Wow so many thoughtful replies! Great to see such an active state of
development! Brilliant! I'll reply to each, but first.

As stated in the first email I'm enjoying version 3.2.1. I'll try to state that

The very popular OS used in my case is one that has only two settings for the
font size, 12pt and SUPER LARGE. So adjusting the OS font size is not an option
for me and many others. The screen that I'm using for this is 1920x1080, very
common. May I ask
When multiple images are selected on the lighttable, its intensely difficult to
tell the difference between selected and unselected photos, even with the
lighter background. A white-ish 1px border should fix this.
To replicate hold Ctrl and click a bunch of different photos to select them.
I realize I'm publishing a lot of improvement proposals today, I've largely
pre-written them. There's only one more after this.
Large text sizes make the interface feel cluttered and confusing, and possibly
unusable to the average photography enthusiast. I know some people who would

After I've worked some magic in Darktable, there's occasional touch-ups I must
do in GIMP. Rather than having to save the file in a large lossless format and
then open said file in GIMP which is something of a workflow-killer, I wonder
whether an 'Open in GIMP' feature might be possible.

I don't seem to be the only person who has noticed this bug. It prevents a user
from seeing the difference between changes they make on a slider/graph. While

As I said I'm really loving Dt. There's a few areas where I feel it can be
improved. This following is one...
In order to see the differences between photos while in the Darkroom view, it's
important that the current photo is not removed from the display until the next

Hello Dear Team behind Darktable.
I am absolutely loving Darktable 3.2.1 (over 2.4). Not only in terms of the
interface but the photos seem to look better too! Maybe I'm just getting better
at editing with it. :)
I have a couple things to report as it relates to installation.
