With respect to this issue: https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/issues/5011
Using left/right arrow keys to move between photos in Darkroom would be the most intuitive. Currently the user needs to move the mouse from side-to-side to switch between two photos (if they don't know the below shortcut, I didn't). While they are trying to focus on parts of the image, it's easy to make mistakes and click the wrong thing. The arrow keys would be well suited to this task. I discovered (in another ticket) that spacebar and backspace perform these functions by default, but this is not intuitive. Most programs I'm familiar with use spacebar to control the viewport, and backspace is typically a destructive button. The arrow keys don't seem to be used for anything else either. (After writing this I discovered in the above ticket that they *can* be used for sliders. Do people use the arrow keys for sliders? If so, maybe the up/down arrows might be equally, if not more, intuitive? ___________________________________________________________________________ darktable developer mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-dev+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
