Hello Team, > As a non-native English speaker, I would vote against the rule [re everything > > is written in lowercase].
I also agree with you, as an english native speaker :) Having read this issue (https://github.com/darktable-org/darktable/issues/2078), is 'Sentence case' the new policy moving forward? As stated by mimoklepes maybe keep the program name, 'darktable', and 'darkroom' and 'lighttable' buttons lowercase? SECTION HEADINGS might use a smaller font size if all-caps. Has this been considered? It might be possible to do all-caps purely with CSS's 'text-transform' property. Module names, option labels, and settings' descriptions might all be best made 'sentence case'? Using 'sentence case' anchors the text in the UI and improves legibility. Currently I find myself re-reading things in Darktable due to all the lowercase. It's quite strange and I agree with livingsilver94, "can give a user the impression of an amateur application". How is progress on this? I might be able to produce a patch but it looks like others have taken ownership, which is great. Is it still on track for Dec 2020? ___________________________________________________________________________ darktable developer mailing list to unsubscribe send a mail to darktable-dev+unsubscr...@lists.darktable.org
