I used rings on my C&C 24 for several years without any problems (and with success ). There is a theory that a ring can be pulled by e.g. a sheet. You can prevent this by wrapping the turnbuckle in rigging tape or by using some of these white tubings that you slide over the turnbuckles. Marek
