There were those three versions of the 37 design, but if you are trying to
figure out actual details, it becomes even more challenging.
I know there were different rig heights - specific to a particular owner - so
they are not all the same . . .
Four different keels will fit on that hull, and we

Hey Rick,
I just got the prop re-pitched and the boat launched.

I disassembled my prop yesterday with the intention of adding pitch. I had
forgotten the setting at which I had left it but found the documentation
Bruce,
Instead of trying to figure out exactly where to drill holes, I’d do what they
suggest — a rectangular cut-out to access everything.
However, personally, I wouldn’t do a teak cover, but a smoke-white sheet of
plexi with LEDs inside as better cabin lighting.
Hmmm.
All the best,
I installed a jib track on Touche'. I covered the fasteners and headliner
cut out with a varnished teak cover.

The piece of teak is hollowed out. It is held up by fasteners are tapped

Hi Len,
You ask an excellent question, but Rob Ball let me know that he found out that
they didn't start encapsulating a bar of aluminum below the genoa tracks until
much later, so unfortunately I am stuck with tracks that are through-bolted
without having holes in the head liner. So, I'm stu
Bruce, where is it leaking if the bolts do not penetrate the deck? Sorry I am
having issues wrapping my head around how they are fastened after what Rob
added. The force generated by the head sail can be substantial. They have got
to be thru bolted like the rest of the fleet.

Brent,
This boat came up a few months ago. As I recall someone had said the
owner was a bit of a jerk and the boat had had collision damage poorly
repaired. A considerable amount of the port side hull would require
complete core repair.
The collective wisdom was to steer clear.

Good evening.
While perusing Yacht World, I came across a 1990 37/40 for sale in Superior for
$34,500. There’s a note indicating “Dramatic Price Reduction due to survey
findings”. Does anyone know the history of this boat s/v Beau Geste?
The photos show a beautiful boat but at 34.5k me thinks t
Chuck,
Here is the info from the POs documentation that I found on my MaxProp:
16" 2-blade classic 1 1/8" shaft
Universal M35 trans 2:1
Right Rotation 16 degrees
My boat is a centerboard and with the board up and a clean bottom I get
6kts at 2200RPMs.

Chuck, I have the same combination. My notes are on the boat. Next time I am
checking the boat I will look it up. I doubt you are in a rush to do that job
at -12.

Hi Chuck,
I had a similar situation with my old cruising
cutter with a Gori folding prop. At expected RPM
the cruising speed was ugly and the engine
chugged along like there was no load. Even worse,
in a marina I learn to go full speed in reverse just to get a wee bite.
