another paint is less desirable at resale time. It’s a quirky paint to apply,
but once you get used to it, I’m not sure other paints are that much easier.
Just my opinion, but having a previous boat grit blasted so I could use VC made
me really appreciate my 30-2 already having VC-17/SR-21.

I have the older version of this setup, Simrad branded. I would highly

This may be helpful, it shows how the strut is bedded right into the hull.
It took several hours to carefully chip away all the fairing bog. Once it
was unearthed, it came off cleanly.

Our boat sings also. On Shift, it's definitely the rigging. At certain wind
speeds and direction, there is a very noticeable hum. Lashing a boathook to
the port shrouds helps a lot, but sometimes nothing stops it.

The goo was mainly dirt, held together by the remains of butyl. Not sticky
at all, but enough to keep 80% of the water out.

Once I had the screws out, the hatch frames just lifted off. They were not

I replaced all the hatches on the boat with Lewmars. Saloon hatch and
forward hatch were drop-in replacements, the head hatch took a bit of glass
work but works fine.
