OK, here we go. I do "a bit" of finish work on decks and hulls. I've
found the secret to it is.putty!!! Irregardless of the underlying
repair material ("structure"), putty will stick to it.
So, epoxy or vinylester or polyester resins, finish with putty. Leave or

That's fun, Burt. What a great feeling it is to sail your boat for the

By the way, you need a tie-down strap for your clew; it goes around the

Thank you Burt.
I'll watch videos like yours all day long - especially while at work.
Your boat looks a lot nicer (and more modern) than my 1976 33-1.
Is that the original rig?

I've always enjoyed searching for Shells. (That was a really bad

back in New Jersey when the BP stations had 96 octane premium. There's a

Before I bought Peregrine, I looked at a 39 here. It's always been one of
my favorite boats; I agree with what Bob Perry has to say about its looks.
The one I saw here was asking $25K and was in about the same shape, except
the deck was covered with Treadmaster.
I passed.

In Maryland all grades of gas have ethanol unless the pump explicitly says not.
Ethanol-free gas is very hard to find. I go to the airport and buy airplane gas
for the last tank for the winter to escape the curse.

Nasty to say the least. This 39 still has the original old style rudder
from '71. Our 39 TM # 69 was built in '74 and in late '75 C&C sent us an
updated rudder free of charge, we paid only the return freight to send them
the crappy original rudder. We have since changed that one out for a custom
