At first, you need to run "update pool from resource" (like you've already done)
Then, from "volume parameters" choose "update all volumes from pool" (or "all

Hi Carlo,
for any modern hardware your rates sound low.
Below is an example I get in my home system (Core2 Duo, 8GB memory, CentOS
5.4 Linux 64-bit), writing to external USB disk, with no compression.
Backing up a local disk, catalog database on the same physical disk too (not

Is there any way to override Job/File retention periods that are specified
in the Client part of Director configuration?
This need arises, when I use the same Client spec to run both "daily" and
"archive" backups.
"Archive" ones are run very seldom, and written to non-recyclable volumes.

Software data compression can be enabled in Bacula by the Director's Fileset
"Compression=GZIP" option. But is there any way to control whether to
compress data or not, based on the storage used?
I mean, can I use software data compression for file/disk devices, and not
for tape devices, with the

After updating two Bacula 3.0.2 servers to version 3.0.3 both of them
started to claim this:
/etc/cron.daily/0logwatch:
Cannot find shared script applybaculadate
Both are 64-bit CentOS5 systems, rpm installations.
This is obviously due to some packaging specific change in log file
