I just downloaded 5.0.0 srpm from SF, built the 64-bit rpm binaries for CentOS 5 w/ MySQL, and upgraded the previous 3.0.3 system with rpm -Uvh...
After this upgrade, the director doesn't start, writes this into log: 03-Feb 19:40 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Version error for database "bacula". Wanted 12, got 11 03-Feb 19:40 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Could not open Catalog "MyCatalog", database "bacula". 03-Feb 19:40 bacula-dir JobId 0: Fatal error: Version error for database "bacula". Wanted 12, got 11 03-Feb 19:40 bacula-dir ERROR TERMINATION Please correct configuration file: /etc/bacula/bacula-dir.conf So, the upgrade obviously didn't upgrade the catalog automatically. As a next thing, I also installed bacula-updatedb-5.0.0-1.x86_64.rpm (I didn't check what scripts existed before, that was stupid but it's just me...) Now, /usr/lib64/bacula/updatedb contains among other older files: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root bacula 2059 Feb 3 19:27 update_mysql_tables_10_to_11 -rw-r--r-- 1 root bacula 2066 Jan 25 09:56 update_mysql_tables_10_to_11.in This upgrade only installed 10-to-11 upgrade script (today's date). Version 5.0.0 release notes say the new database version is 12, like the error message is requesting. Where can I find the proper 11-to-12 MySQL catalog update script? -- TiN ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
