Hi Folks,
here my little alsa problem:
I'm using alsa-driver-0.9.9rc7 (since today rc8) on my motherboard MSI
KT4V-L (AMD XP2400+) with VT8235 Chipset. My distro is SuSE 8.1 with the
latest mantel-kernel k_athlon-2.4.20-18.i586.rpm and the latest kernel

I got the same error and updated gcc to 3.2.2. I still get the

Update from last e-mail just moments ago :)
Alsa .9rc8 now compiles ok with both the .9rc8a packages of drivers and

Otherwise, a compilation error occurs in the alsa-lib* package on my
machine referencing the lack of pcm_jac

Hi,
I have SB Live 5.1 and it looks like situation with Live and Audigy is

theoretically possible to recompile kernel with alpha version of MIDI
support). Some 3D effects can be loaded from command line. You can also

How should I configure it?
With a linux 2.2.22 kernel, the driver compiles,
but after the install, depmod shows:
bash# /sbin/depmod -ae
/lib/modules/2.2.22/misc/snd-page-alloc.o: unresolved symbol(s)
create_proc_read_entry
and the only place I see create_proc_read_entry defined is
in the kernel (2.2.22) in ./drive
Well, I've been through the archives on this one and still come up with
nothing. I've tried to get alsamixer and amixer to set the input capture to

There's no 'cd audio' header on the pci card :)
Not a big deal (I have a CD player right next to it), just curious.
