Hi, I bought a new notebook with a sis 7012 soundcard in it. The alsa soundcard matrix says that this type of card is supported by alsa and gives detailed installations instructions (see http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php3?company=SiS&card=&chip=ad1816a&module=intel8x0) The problem now is that neither with alsa 0.5.12a nor with 0.9.0rc8 I get the driver intel8x0 compiled. I have tried the following configure-commands but an snd-intel8x0.o file is never created:
./configure --with-cards=all --with-sequencer=yes ./configure --with-cards=intel8x0 --with-sequencer=yes After it I did a "make" and "make install" but the driver I proably need is not created. I have found many drivers in /lib/modules/2.4.20/misc but not the one I need. Maybe I am just too dumb to find it but maybe this is a bug or somebody could provide some help concerning this sis 7012 card and alsa?
