You are talking way over my heard. Could you explain more detailed what
I'm supposed to do?

I did not find any other switch which could change the volume. It seems
to be a pretty silly "feature", because the main volume control in most
applications won't have an effect on my digital speakers - configuring
each and every application to use a different mixer device, is a pain,
and not always possible.

Yes.
I have 5 speakers (and a subwoofer), center, left, right, rear left,
rear right. Only the rear speakers have sound.
