I got sound! But it's quiet. If I set the PCM level in alsamixer to 70% then I need
to crank the speaker volume. If I set the PCM level to 100% then it's better, but is
it OK to have this in the red (above 70%)? Kinda noisy in here right now, so I can't
really tell if it sounds degraded...

1.0.0_rc1 (compiled on Gentoo) to read from the USB
mic built into my Logitech Quickcam Web webcam.
The mic seems to be active:

Jaroslav, can we make the mailing list reject such mails? I can't think of
any legitimate reason for anyone to send BIG5/JIS/EUC-TW/etc to the list.

confirm). cs4222 is merely a 20-bit adc/dac.
