Hi,
I have a MSI KT3 LUltra (MS-6380E) ATX motherboard,
with a Realtek ALC650 sound chipset.
I just installed red hat 7.3 and I get sound from playing a cd but cantt hear MP3s or sounds from the gnome desktop.
Seems i have no sound driver working
I think i need ALSA drivers, and I down loaded the
alsa-driver-0.5.11
from the realtek ftp drivers site
However, I have no idea how to install it. I see some instructions for compiling and installing, and some stuff about turning on sound support with the soundcore module.....
but I don't know what this means or how to do it.
Exactly what do I need to do???
Hope someone can help!!
yours with no music to keep me company at work :-(
