I have a Terratec DMX6Fire 2496 card, and I'd like to record radio
broadcasts through line-in which means input channels 3 & 4 on my card.
Using arecord, I can type for example
arecord -D line_in -d 20 -f cd tst.wav
with line_in defined by the following clip in .asoundrc:
#adcdac 3 and 4
pcm.lin
At startup, settings are obviously restored, but whenever I change
anything in envy24control, these are not stored at shutdowwn.
- kernel 2.6.3
- alsa driver version 1.0.2c (supplied with kernel source)
- alsa utilities etc.: 1.0.2

In envy24control the input signal shows up in H/W In 3 & 4, but Audacity
only knows /dev/dsp as input device, which as far as I know is connected
to H/W In 1 & 2.
