Hi, I'm seaching how can I record with my DMX Fire 24/96. I'm working on MDK 9.2 with the last kernel multimedia. The card is good recoagnized by installation and this card sounding good. But I'm unable to record from back analog entry nor front analog entry. If I use alsamixer-gui I can't open analogs in back or front
When trying to record from line in (back or front), do you see any signal in the "Line In" bar graphs in the envy24control monitor mixer? If not, go to the Hardware Settings tab where you can switch between Front Input and Rear Input with the "Line In Selector" buttons. Both inputs work for me with the very same soundcard.
BTW, which ALSA are you using? Only very recent versions of envy24control allow you to select line in. Otherwise, you may use alsamixer where you can do this switching in the "Analog In Select" control.
