Check the caller ID board pins. Remove it from the socket and inspect it for pushed or bent pins. Make sure the pins aren't bent then reinstall it again and try it. Re: KX-T: Windows Software
Steve, Total agreement here. My post was to give those thinking this was a "dealers forum" a reality check. You may or may not listen to your customers, but on this list your customers are listening to you. We can all read between the lines. The amount of angst voiced here is encouraging. Last time this came up many of the replies took a slightly different line of attack, essentially denigrating the customers that buy their equipment. Good to see that many of you are learning. And THAT , imho, is constructive. Cheers, Reddy PS: If Panasonic reads (vs. just subscribing to ) this forum, it would be hard to tell it's had much impact on them. They could use more end user feedback IMHO. We use Panasonic in our home and one remaining office. We have been migrating away from Panasonic in our businesses, but would return to Pana for our smaller offices under the right conditions. How well do you think Panasonic listens to their customers ? KX-T: TVS-220 English/spanish Voicemail
Hi, Did any played with those TVS-220's? I was wondering what are the newest features, and obviusly the MOST IMPORTANT is if the Spanish Prompts are complete. I'm asking this because I would like to replace my TVS-200 with one of the newest 220. Happens that I got this tvs200 in the US and I had to record every single prompt (Yep all 900 prompts) but some translation seems like it's not the right one, son some promts are somehow funny. I was wondering if this SPANISH translation has good sound, good sexy voice "-) and ALL features that are available in english are also available in spanish. BTW, I also tryed loading a TVP-200 voice prompts, but seems like pana only translated 600 prompts and since TVP's have somehow better quality, the load had a really bad sound. I got my TVS200 from Ablecomm and they have a really great service, but no speak spanish |-( Javier Galvez La Paz, Bolivia +(591)-715-22149 [EMAIL PROTECTED] _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt

KX-T: Reseller test
Hello, I would like to know how to become a Panasonic Certified reseller, or at least become just a certified technitian. In my country there are 3 or 4 persons that program panasonic, and certainly they did not want to provide me tech support since i purchased my KX-TD1232-5 and my TVS-200 from the USA. Really they did not give ANY support, not even offering them a payment for their services, they just said no, if you got your boxes from Ablecomm call them for support. Well no big deal, I was lucky since Ablecomm send me all the programming manuals. took me 4 months to do the programming, learn, try, play, but now I must say that I know every single command, user commands, & programming commands. Now, since there are only 3 or 4 panasonic tech guys in Bolivia I would like to be the 5th one, but taking care of all those lonely people that the other guys did now want to help. I feel that a personal service, plus custom programming is something that no tech guy down here do, I may enter to this arena, if I get some sort of certification. Did I say that In bolivia there is no pana center for certification? Where else should I get info for doing this? Is there any KX-500 cert also? KX-T: Speed dial
Ladies and Gents Has any one here used a data base manager as a personal speed dialer. Something that would dial out on a single line and then do a flash so the held call could be picked up form the phone next to that computer doing the dialing. The system speed dial on the digital series systems has a limited number of characters that can be used for the name. I love the rolodex type indexing that the system uses but you are only limited by the use of 10 characters for the speed dial name. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Ross, you should be able to do that just by using the analog port of a digital extension (xdp NOT turned on, so the analog is in parallel). Once the pc is finished dialing, picking up the phone should cut right in and take over the call. That's the way it works with my cordless I have in parallel with my desk phone-- whichever is active it will be cut off when the other goes off hook. KX-T: Re: Reseller test
Hi, Javier... In the US, you first have to take a qualification test at home, and submit it to Panasonic. It's an open-book test, and it includes some absolutely ridiculous questions. For example, you have list the frequencies generated by the buttons on a touchtone pad, which has nothing to do with installing or programming a Panasonic digital phone system. There are also questions about Panasonic analog systems, because Panasonic assumes that anyone who wants to be certified for digital systems, has had experience with Panasonic analogs. Next, you take a 5-day course that covers the phone systems and voice processors, pass the final exam, and sign a contract agreeing to many silly things. For example, you must agree to have a laptop PC for programming. Apparently, if you use a desktop or palmtop PC, you lose your dealer certification . There is some ambiguity with regard to being a certified dealer vs. a certified technician. It seems that a certified dealer is a company or a person that employs a certified technician (and the dealer and the technician can be the same person). A dealer can lose certification for many reasons, but the only way for a technician to lose certification is if Panasonic learns that he or she cheated on the certification final exam (which was an open book test when I took it years ago.) Outside the US, I assume the local Panasonic branch or authorized importer would set the standards. Michael N. KX-T: Two Phones acting as One
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to make two separate digital phones act like one on a 1232-5? I have two phones in two different locations in my office, and I would like them to both ring when someone dials my extention, and have everyone see the same extention number no matter which phone I call from. Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks, Ben Bawkon _ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt

KX-T: Re: Two Phones acting as One
Here are some suggestions To make them ring from one number is easy-- but it won't be the ext. number you now use. You need to program a Phantom extension number, then assign a button for that Phantom number on both phones. Now when someone dials that phantom number both phones will ring. You can also set up your mailbox to be assigned to the phantom number, or give it a separate box. You may need to have a separate message waiting lamp button for that box, I'm not sure if it can be directed to your existing mwl. Now you can also change the station label for your phone so that it reads with the Phantom number, but it will also show your "real" number as well. For example-- [103:John-120] If you wanted to keep your existing ext number you could re-assign your present physical phone to let the Phantom become your old number and the desk phone take on a new identity. Re-assigning extension numbers is usually NOT recommended because it can get confusing, but under some circumstances it might be useful. sounds like a fun project... charles Charles Patterson Global Communications Tarrytown, NY [EMAIL PROTECTED] - Original Message - From: "Benjamin J. Re: KX-T: Re: Two Phones acting as One
If your ext. happens to be (0) / 101 there is an option to allow two ext's ring at once but ONLY if your ext. 0 / 101. If not then Charles has the next best thing below. I never took a qualification test? I did fill out the "application" at work. I have no idea what the frequencies are on a keypad? They never asked me? I do use a dtmf grabber when I have problems. The class I took was only 2 days and very inexpensive. The fees covered materials & lunch. I don't remember any questions about the hybrid systems but they are so simple I may not have paid attention. It was a lot of fun. It was two days when I took the test in 1994 and cost $200. At that time, the only VPS was the dreaded TVP150, and may have been briefly mentioned. The course is now five days, and I think it costs $1000, and I think two days are devoted to the VPSes. /mnm - Original Message - From: "Jim Marks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Michael N.
