Here are some suggestions

To make them ring from one number is easy-- but it won't be the ext. number
you now use.
You need to program a Phantom extension number, then assign a button for
that Phantom number on both phones. Now when someone dials that phantom
number both phones will ring. You can also set up your mailbox to be
assigned to the phantom number, or give it a separate box. You may need to
have a separate message waiting lamp button for that box, I'm not sure if it
can be directed to your existing mwl.

Now you can also change the station label for your phone so that it reads
with the Phantom number, but it will also show your "real" number as well.
For example-- [103:John-120]

If you wanted to keep your existing ext number you could re-assign your
present physical phone to let the Phantom become your old number and the
desk phone take on a new identity. Re-assigning extension numbers is
usually NOT recommended because it can get confusing, but under some
circumstances it might be useful.

sounds like a fun project...
