I would certainly agree.  I have an Acer laptop with 4Gb of RAM and Win 7
Pro which I am very pleased with!  As far makes is concerned I go for Acer
as they supply the hard drive already partitioned into system and data
partitions (At least, they did - I haven't bought one for about a year.)  I
don't think there is a lot to choose between the main manufacturers, they
all have their bad periods and minor irritations.
