Heya, Well, my laptop is sorta dying on me, and I've had it for more than six years (and, even then, it was a refurb). So, now I'm looking for advice on a replacement for it.
At this point, I'm strongly considering a desktop because of the 'bang for the buck' factor. I do a lot of stuff on the Internet, a lot of video watching (and some editing), and - of course - programming (primarily FoxPro and Java at the moment). I do some rare gaming, but not enough for it to be a factor. But I'm also looking for a machine that will be long-lasting, which means that I probably want a good-to-great processor and high memory. I know there are people on this list who have purchased a computer more recently than I have (which was... well, six years ago, I guess), so I'm seeking advice.
