It's the opposite and let me put it into clear, logic terms:

- I need a postfix container [0]
- I can easily build a postfix container [1]
- Others might start using my postfix container due to the lack of an
  official postfix container [2]
- To avoid that, my recommendation is that the postfix project provides a 
container itself
- If running three commands every time a new postfix release is added to either 
debian or alpine helps the project to provide official image,
  I am offering to run emacs Dockerfile && docker build && docker push [3]

That's all there is. Don't read more into it, I am not keen on maintaining more 
stuff. 

[0] For running multiple postfix instances in k8s
[1] Matter of fact is already exists at
[2] This is not wanted, but might happen, because there is no official image
[3] I know emacs can do all three of them, but what I am saying is don't get 
hung up on details
