Myself I use mutt. It can call w3m to display text/html part when requested,
but you need to do it explicitly - by default email is displayed as HTML
source, with all the mess of over-engineered HTML tags.

However, that's not an issue. The actual issue is that there is no simple
way to *quote* the message when replying without including all these HTML
tags explicitly in your reply.
