+1 mutt user here.

Quick, fast keyboard driven -- no need to fiddle with the mouse to get things
done. It is also great (fast) when logged in using ssh to some remote machine.

I can view html in mutt -- my .mailcap uses lynx to convert it to text.

Only slight annoyance is when someone replies using HTML saying something like
"my comments in red" -- but I will start a discussion of top posting.
