I expect senders on mailing lists (!) to conform to existing etiquette, if they wish to participate in this particular medium. Modernity does not factor into it for me. I personally choose to discard HTML-only messages received via mailing lists, and I doubt that I am the only one who does this. I believe that it is in each sender's best interest to either stick to plain text in order to reach the widest possible audience, or to at least use "Content-Type: multipart/alternative". RFC 1341 has been around since 1992. > The world moved on, and individuals are well within their rights to > choose not to follow along, but expecting everyone else to make the same > choice might be a tad unrealistic. Choices have consequences, that's all there is to it. If a sender values "pretty" fonts and colours more than the accessibility and reach of plain text, I am less interested in what they write on mailing lists. -Ralph _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
