Frankly, this is absurd. The upstream *project name* has not been changed. The *package name* and associated variable name follow our conventions, that's all. We don't need to ask for permission to pick a package name that complies with our conventions. This includes using lowercase letters only (apparently there are no complaints about that) and a prefix. Other distros also split packages as they see fit (such as "-devel" packages or separate packages for examples or documentation). Guix isn't doing anything outrageous here, and I think it's pretty absurd to suggest otherwise and demand changes here. -- Ricardo
