I am sorry that we got to this point. I am sorry on two fronts, once on David's front who I think got a bad experience, and sorry on the guix front for losing this package. I would like to state that I understand both points of view, albeit as part of the guix community I am not totally unbiased. I am wondering if an alias in either of the directions (alias guile-g-golf to g-golf or the other way around) would have been an acceptable compromise for both parties? One more thing to consider here is if we want to enforce consistency this much then let's make sure that we very explicitly state this in our docs, otherwise we are going to be ending up in unproductive ping-pong and trying to dig up whatsoever year old irc discussion threads. For this I would definitely propose to add a section to the manual let's say contributing/packaging guidelines/guile modules or whatever we deem appropriate. Maybe we can also reword the sentence with "desirable to include language name".
