Several boat owners in my area use smaller independent insurers. Check around. You don't necessarily have to go with one of the "big" companies.
Unfortunately not available to all but Touche' is insured through USAA. My policy is actually a legacy policy underwritten by USAA itself. I think USAA now uses Progressive which might be a slight recommendation for Progressive. So, my point is to get a quote from Progressive. -- Dennis C.
