Tom., I had similar experience and dropped Geico in favor of adding a rider on 
my homeowner's policy; the additional expense was worth it; I had a major claim 
and they were very supportive and paid to have my hull repainted; PS: I used to 
have an 85  29-2 and loved it!
I would start with your home owner's agent....
