I'm going to forget an atom.  I have a nice eeePC here and like it and likely 
will pick up another since I can get them for like under $150.  I figure it 
will make a nice hot spot.  Good for the light weight stuff.  

But for heavy duty you're right.  

I can legally get Lion going.  Its quite easy.  Apple sold a snow leopard to a 
13 yo.  She can upgrade.  No contracts are binding with a minor.  I have no 
contract.  Not my machine.  I won't sign a contract with a 13 yo.

Next when I review what needs to happen?  13 yo is editing video so I guess 
maybe I'm going to have to install some serious hardware.  Its not my lion.  
I'm just told there might be a virus in it so they ask me to check it out.  I'm 
just the sys admin.  I'm low man on the totem pole.

No contracts are binding for like the next 3 years.  right?
