Gender-neutral /and/ sentience-neutral. This works well in situations where you allow legal documents to become players and need a pronoun for them. I agree that "they" and friends should always be used for plurals, though. It's gender-neutral and sentience-neutral already, whereas "e" is singular. -- ais523
