I don't try to blame anybody about the time people spend on Wormux. For myself, I've been working on external things and I was not very productive for Wormux last time. And when I talk about frozen things, I just saying that the last beta of wormux have rolled out something like 2 months ago and around 5 months for the previous beta and we have no plan for the futur. The fact that gentildemon shut the doors as the manager of the project live us with a huge problem : Who's gone to synchronize people for a new release ? What's happen if nobody take the initiative to roll out a new version at a fixed date ? If we don't force themselves to release new version or to plan something, we will never release anything and we will never have feedback about new features. But if somebody think that I have no right to talk about this kind of things, It's fine. Just ignore this email and the previous one I send on the mailing list. I would continue to code but dont expect me more in the future ... > Now please, slowdown, you're all trying hurry up everything but Wormux > is just not ready yet .. What I want to do with this emails is to reinitiate something and wrote down things on a road map. No matter if we change this date. After all, we are talking about a little convivial game. Not world domination :) > If we put a new beta in the wild, we should at least be sure there are > no bug _we_ can reproduce, and to do that we actually have to play > Wormux ... That's fine. We can plan a bug hunting session to have an idea of what is wrong in the trunk version. Then fixing bug, redo a bug session until we can release something stable. For myself, I can't be present the next 2 weeks (sorry). But other people can plan this bug session without me and report on gna. If it's not possible, we can plan the session after the 6th november. > Talking about deadlines, who cares ? If someone want to do something but don't have time to work on it, we are aware of it and we adapt the release plan. For example, if we know that the feature 'a' or 'b' will not be present in the future version and the feature 'b' is blocking then we know that somebody must work on it. But if nobody work on feature 'a' then, we know that this feature will be delayed until next version. > Bye > > Lodesi > > _______________________________________________ > Wormux-dev mailing list > Wormux-dev@gna.org > https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wormux-dev _______________________________________________ Wormux-dev mailing list Wormux-dev@gna.org https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/wormux-dev
