I think there are not many (if any) strings with ^ coming from src/. Most stuff
comes right from the WML files in data/.

Test it yourself, it DOES get to output if it is used in the translation!


For special stuff like variables and those "inline comments" we do have the
translations FAQ page in the wiki[1]. This is required for some special stuff
anyway (like the fonts string). And it is probably not this much to read it, is 
it?
