Um... Here we go again! I hope this won't be another 30+ message thread trying to convince a user that he is not talking to the right group of people.
Mike, This list is for users of the SpamAssassin product. None of us here have any control whatsoever over the use or (probably in your opinion) abuse by your ISP of a spam filtering product. We are sincerely sorry that your ISP doesn't know how to set up the product correctly, but this list is the source of help for them. SA allows for true white lists and for totally opting out of spam filtering. It's quite nice, actually. It's really a shame some ISP's don't know how to configure it. Thank you for not coming in with a flame thrower in both hands as some have done. Back to the list. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think we should change where the message people see points to. They need to get a simple message that tells the user, who might perceive themselves as a victim of SA, about the product and to call the ISP for more info. They should be kept as far away from the email address of this list as possible. What do you all think? -Michael >>> Mike Anderson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 05/27/03 12:54PM >>> Because of you I am changing ISP's. There is no such thing as a whitelist that works. Even if I receive valid mail and you have targeted it as spam I cannot read it because you control freaks have altered the e-mail. Anyone else having similar problems? Why not let us have control of what happens at the PC level as opposed to the network level? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ObjectStore.
