Hi, I also have the same issue on my eeepc 1225. When Xubuntu 14.10 was release
I upgraded from 14.04 (32 bit).
On 14.04 I did not have this issue; however after the upgrade to 14.10 I also
switched fglrx for the radeon driver, so I cannot say that it is not related to
that.

I have the identical ethernet controller but it does work; however it
takes up to 3 minutes to connect to the NIC once the desktop has been
established in either Unity or KDE(Kubuntu). Both of my test systems are
at the 11.10 beta 1 level with all updates applied to 2011-09-14. MB is

Late followup, but that did indeed work. I also went back 9.10 with a
current patch level and saw the same thing, so this appears to be a
kernel version thing and not just the version of Ubuntu.
For others, this is what I did to permanently disable ipmi and get my CPU back:

The dialog comes up and asks me if I want to replace the existing file:
foo.flac. If I answer "Y", it does so and proceeds to the next file.
If at any of the tracks, I answer "N", I get an error message for every

1) usability is classified wishlist according to our conventions.
2) There is an easy workaround by choosing manually a different color
scheme.
3) the suggestion to calculate the contrast is a feature request that is
