Installing semantik does not run ldconfig. This means that semantik
cannot find the library libnablah.so that is installed in the same
packages, but displays the following error:
/usr/lib/kde4/bin/semantik: error while loading shared libraries:
As far as I understand, the main report is about that "1.5" by itself (without
"G", "gb" or other suffixes should work).
With Virtualbox 1.6 however this appears to work: entering 1,5GB into the box
for the virtual disk image (of dynamic type), results in the correct size for
this image.

i think i found the problem, it's in "ubuntu-docs/ubuntu/browser-startpage".
since i didn't find where to translate it using launchpad i made a patch fixing
it on ubuntu-docs 8.04 source.

Thanks for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
Could you please provide an example file that allows the behaviour to be
reproduced in order to make it easier to solve this problem.
Thanks

For the record, I downgraded my entire system to Gutsy and the problem
went away. So, it seems to be some component in the Gnome chain or
kernel code is causing the problem.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-generic
It looks like most of the cpufreq drivers are missing on Hardy/amd64 (at
least in the 2.6.24-19-generic kernel packages). In the i386 packages,
/lib/modules/2.6.24-19-server/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq
contains the following:
acpi-cp
Mark: I think that the release name is unnecessary. The English start
page includes only the release number (i.e 8.04).
