As far as I understand, the main report is about that "1.5" by itself (without 
"G", "gb" or other suffixes should work).
With Virtualbox 1.6 however this appears to work: entering 1,5GB into the box 
for the virtual disk image (of dynamic type), results in the correct size for 
this image.
I'm marking it therefore "Fix released", since virtualbox-ose 1.6 is in Ubuntu 
Intrepid already.

If there are further issues and/or I did not understood it correctly,
please re-open and forward the bug/wish to the upstream bugtracker
