I have more serious problems with this driver. I doesn't let me boot Ubuntu
9.10 when enabled. I had to disable it using a live cd to boot. I found that

Well. I think I found something. As I suggested above, I made some tests with
compiz options. At some point I tried to disable window decoration (without
disabling compiz) but whatever I tried the little square was ticked (is this
another bug?). So, I tried changing the settings regarding window

we can find more specific which effect is related with this bug, maybe
we can help finding what causes the problem. I suggest deselecting
everything in the CompizConfig Settings Manager and then enabling them

Every time I use the dictionary applet and then close the little window
containing the word definition, a frame shadow remains on the desktop.

Just to check if it is an Nvidia driver problem as you said: my graphics card
is an "Intel Corp. Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrat
